While the focus of our group is to assist the homeless in our community, we receive inquiries nearly every day about low-cost vaccinations and spay/neuter programs. If you are in need of these resources, we encourage you to contact the groups listed below.
The SNIP Team - SNIP stands for Spay and Neuter Intercommunity Project. They are dedicated to helping residents in the Fresno area find low cost spay and neuter programs and assistance.
The H.O.P.E. Animal Foundation - HOPE's mission is to help control the unwanted pet population through spaying and neutering, not killing, and to decrease the number of abandoned, injured, and abused dogs and cats through prevention and education.
Valley Animal Center - The mission of the Valley Animal Center is to alleviate the pet overpopulation crisis through education, adoptions, and spay and neuter programs rather than euthanasia.
Halo Cafe - Halo Café's mission is to help families keep the promise they made to their pets to love and care for them forever by providing pet food to those who cannot afford it on their own.
If your pet is missing, we recommend the following: - Visit your local shelters IN PERSON. The amount of animals that come into these shelters on a daily basis is staggering. Calling and giving a description of your pet is not enough. Check the quarantine room during your visit. While you are at the shelter, post LOST flyers and fill out a card in their LOST binder.
Post flyers around your neighborhood, as well as on Facebook and Craigslist. You may also consider putting an ad in the Fresno Bee Lost & Founds.
